Sony PXW-Z200 4K 1" CMOS Sensor XDCAM Camcorder

Sony PXW-Z200 4K HDR Handheld Camcorder: Intelligent Precision for Broadcast & Live Production Shoot, record, and stream in breathtaking 4K HDR with the Sony PXW-Z200. Combining a high-sensitivity 1.0-type stacked sensor, a dedicated AI Processing Unit, and broadcast-grade 12G-SDI connectivity, this compact handheld camcorder delivers pristine clarity, rich color science, and streamlined workflows for solo operators and multi-camera production crews alike.

1.0-Type Exmor RS™ Sensor & BIONZ XR™ Processing At the heart of the Z200 is an effective 14.0-megapixel 1.0-type Exmor RS™ stacked CMOS image sensor. Its back-illuminated structure accelerates readout speeds and minimizes noise in challenging low-light environments. Powered by the flagship BIONZ XR™ image processor, the camera uses 5K oversampling with full-pixel readout to produce razor-sharp 4K (3840 x 2160) 60p video, with high-frame-rate capabilities reaching up to 120fps in 4K (approx. 23% crop) and 240fps in Full HD for dramatic slow-motion capture.

Advanced AI Processing Unit & Fast Hybrid AF Take advantage of next-generation subject tracking. Working in concert with the BIONZ XR processor, the specialized AI Processing Unit uses deep learning models based on human form and posture to recognize human subjects with pinpoint accuracy. The Fast Hybrid AF system spans 81% frame coverage, providing reliable Real-time Tracking and intelligent Auto Framing—allowing stationary single-operator setups to dynamically crop and track subjects as if operated by an experienced camera crew.

20x Optical G Lens™ & Electronic Variable ND Cover expansive wide shots to intimate telephoto close-ups with a built-in 20x power zoom G Lens™ offering a 24–480mm equivalent focal range (F2.8–F4.5). Sony’s Clear Image Zoom technology expands reach up to 30x in 4K and up to 60x in Full HD. Seamlessly maintain exposure across moving lighting conditions using the built-in Electronic Variable ND Filter (1/4 to 1/128 ND) with Auto ND functionality, backed by Active Mode image stabilization for rock-steady handheld operation.

Broadcast-Grade Connectivity & Direct Streaming Engineered for seamless broadcast workflows and live events, the PXW-Z200 features a 12G-SDI output (quadruple the bandwidth of 3G-SDI on a single cable), timecode (TC) input/output, full-sized HDMI Type-A, and XLR terminals supporting 4-channel audio. Stream directly to platforms via built-in dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) Wi-Fi or Ethernet using standard RTMP/RTMPS and low-latency SRT protocols.
